A Playlist for Those Experiencing Winter Blues
by Chris Badeker
It’s the time of year when the days grow shorter and the temperature plummets. For many, it’s also a time of uncharacteristic lethargy and ache. If you’re one of the millions who feel the suns absence in an acute and painful way, this playlist is for you. There are songs that recall brighter days and songs that long for them to return. Songs that bask in the warmth and songs that endeavor to create warmth in spite of the bitter cold. I invite you to enjoy them as is, or use them as a starting place to begin compiling your own collection of songs that point you back towards the light on the days when you need it the most.
Clean Light - The Mowgli’s
Waking Up Again - Emily Hearn
Colorful - Jukebox The Ghost
Don’t Leave Me (Ne me quitte pas) - Regina Spektor
Sun Giant - Fleet Foxes
Keep Me - Novo Amor
Here Comes the Sun - Nina Simone
