Exclusive Video: Cicadas— Drakeford
As a part of Housemoot 2024, The Rabbit Room commissioned a series of Artistic Interludes from various artists and poets. The collection of 15+ song performances was initially available exclusively to conference participants.
Today’s featured video from that collection is a performance of the song “Cicadas” by the Nashville-based husband/wife duo, Drakeford.
Drakeford are a husband and wife singer-songwriter duo based in Nashville, TN. Made up of a Brit and an American, the world-traveling duo's music is folksy at heart with hints of pop throughout, with the finger-picking style being as clear and crisp as the vocal articulation. Whether it's an intimate performance of just the two of them, or a high energy show with their band, they manage to repeatedly deliver quality both in musical ingenuity and lyrical depth.
